Since 2008, Bluclad has been developing and manufacturing technologies and solutions for metal surface treatment in Calenzano (Florence), specifically for the luxury, fashion, and jewelry industries. From researching new finishes to the industrialization of processes, the company supports brands and manufacturers with technical expertise, reliable products, and direct on-site assistance.
Custom finishes
Colour, appearance and performance are developed together with the brand, building each finish around the material and the requirements of the project.
Plating, PVD and lacquers
Complementary technologies to deliver colour, protection and performance, from precious and non-precious metals to PVD finishes and protective lacquers.
From the Lab to Production
Research, formulation, testing and validation accompany every development, through to the definition of the process and its industrialisation.
On-site support
Bluclad technicians work alongside customers directly on the plating line, from process start-up and bath analysis to troubleshooting.

Responsible Jewellery Council
Bluclad is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council and makes available its compliance documentation, its policy and its supply chain due diligence report.
ISO/IEC 27001 (certification in progress)
Bluclad is completing its information security certification process. The company policy sets out the objectives, principles and responsibilities for protecting data and information systems.

EL4ALL · POR FESR Toscana 2014-2020
Through the EL4ALL project, Bluclad developed a process for depositing aluminium on fashion accessories and colouring it by anodising. The work included fine-tuning second-generation ionic liquids (DES) and developing prototypes with remote control systems.

Sustainability
Bluclad works to develop more sustainable plating processes and monitors the environmental aspects of its activities. This section provides the documentation for the environmental labelling of packaging and the verification of the greenhouse gas inventory.
Organisational model under Legislative Decree 231/2001
In compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001, Bluclad has adopted an Organisation, Management and Control Model, together with a Code of Ethics, and has set up a Supervisory Body. The Model, the Code and the whistleblowing procedure are available for consultation.
