Stylistic brief
A finish request inspired by the brand’s style.

From research to on-site support, integrated expertise at the service of brands and accessory manufacturers.
Research is the starting point of every new finish. In the Bluclad laboratory, chemical expertise, experimentation and constant dialogue translate into new processes, new shades and ever more effective and sustainable solutions.

Developing a finish follows six steps, from the stylistic brief to fine-tuning at the production site.

A finish request inspired by the brand’s style.

Samples sent with a unique seal number.

Approval of the finish and testing on production parts.

Results shared and technical specification drawn up.

List of approved platers and distribution of the master sample.

Installation and verification of the cycle at the production site.
We also run training courses on electroplating, PVD and surface treatment processes, sharing with technicians and operators the know-how gained in the laboratory and on production lines.

Every week our laboratory carries out a full check on the bath samples sent in by customers, to keep the baths in optimum condition and prevent surface defects in the deposits. All bath components and any contaminants are analysed, followed by a plating test to check thickness, colour, alloy composition and defects.
Bluclad works alongside customers directly on their plating lines, from bath commissioning to day-to-day management. Thanks to an international technical network, each region is covered by a dedicated specialist for start-ups, solution analysis, process optimisation and troubleshooting.

We verify the aesthetic and physical properties of our finishes through in-house testing and tests entrusted to an accredited external laboratory. Tests are selected according to the material, the item and the brand’s specifications.
